The life that never diesOld San Juan is a magical place where I always find inspiration. This photo series captures the essence of this historic place, and the spirit of puerto rican people during the celebration of the traditional “Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian”. A special one for this year 2018, because after hurricane Maria passed through Puerto Rico it was the first major cultural festival where people were able to enjoy themselves, and forget the suffering caused by the devastation Maria left in the island. “Las Fiestas” were also a great opportunity for artists and artisans to exhibit and sell their art work because after Maria many of them were left without chances to show their work to the public.
During those five days we all gathered to sing, dance, smile and share good moments. We got together to celebrate our music, food, and art. Our culture is what we are, and it will always live in us. |
