On February 25, 2017 streets and squares of Old San Juan were the stage for the Circo Fest, an international street art and circus like event that brought joy to everyone. The carnival music starts announcing the beginning of this event with a colorful parade, from the Teatro Tapia to Bastión de las Palmas. The performers happiness was contagious, made me connect with my inner child. This is when I found myself walking with them down the street, laughing and cheering. Later, people gather in different squares to enjoy the acts, performers form Spain, Argentina, Chile, Brasil, Israel, Polonia/Suiza, Guatemala/Italia, United States and Puerto Rico.
My goal as a photographer was to capture the skills artists and the reactions of many children and adults who were enjoying the moment, as well as me, despite the hard sun of the mid day. There are so many positive things I can say about this beautiful event, but let my pictures talk by themselves. |
